Hainan Refining and Chemical Company 1 mt/a ethylene

The leading unit of the 1 mt/a ethylene project of Sinopec Hainan Refining and Chemical Company -- ethylene steam cracking unit was successfully put into operation. On February 21, the ethylene project successfully opened the whole process, and each device realized a successful feeding and driving.

The project uses the world's advanced chemical technology, the main construction of 1 mt/a ethylene cracker and a total of 10 sets of downstream chemical equipment, investment of more than 28.6 billion yuan, civil construction started in January 2021, completed in November 2022. With the smooth operation of the project, the "zero breakthrough" of Hainan ethylene industry has been achieved, and it has become a new "engine" for the construction and development of Hainan Free Trade Port.
