Baling Petrochemical Caprolactam Relocation and Upgrading Projec

In the new area of SINOPEC Baling Petrochemical Company's annual output of 600,000 tons of caprolactam industry chain relocation and upgrading transformation and development project, the esterification method of cyclohexanone device line A successfully opened the whole process, achieving a successful start-up, output qualified cyclohexanol, cyclohexanone, cyclohexane, crude ethanol, and the overall operation is stable.

The new esterification cyclohexanone unit of Baling Petrochemical Caprolactam Relocation and Upgrading Project is one of the core units of the project, with two production lines and annual production capacity of 200,000 tons, including six production units of benzene partial hydrogenation, cyclohexene extraction, cyclohexene esterification, cyclohexyl acetate hydrogenation, cyclohexanol dehydrogenation and cyclohexane refining, and the output of cyclohexanone and cyclohexane can be used as raw materials for production of caprolactam and oxidized cyclohexanone units respectively. The output of cyclohexanone and cyclohexane can be used as raw materials for the caprolactam plant and oxidized cyclohexanone plant respectively. Meanwhile, the plant can also co-produce refined anhydrous ethanol, crude ethanol, light oil and heavy oil. The plant is designed by SINOPEC Shanghai Engineering Company, SINOPEC Qingdao A&I Institute has completed the process reliability and other special technical assessments, SINOPEC Catalyst Company is responsible for the production and supply of five new catalysts for benzene selective hydrogenation, cyclohexene esterification, cyclohexyl acetate hydrogenation and other processes, and SINOPEC Fifth Construction Company is responsible for the construction of the plant.
